After you have listened to the lectures for each lesson you need to post a comment about something that you found interesting. You also need to post a follow-up comment on two(2) other students comments on the lectures. (If there are no other students comments in the topic then you only need to post your own comment).

Lesson 1: God used the Old Testament prophets in the similar way that He used the New Testament writers. “Godinspired them as full, thinking human beings.” They were not just “mechanical” mouth pieces.

Lesson 2: A prophet then can be someone who predicts or simply someone who proclaims and in the Old Testament they did both.

Lesson 5: It is considered essential that one relate the words of the Old Testament prophets to the historical circumstances that they faced to understand what their words meant to the people that the prophets were addressing.

Lesson 6: A major theme of this lesson is God’s immutability: God’s character or attributes does not change, His covenant oaths remain valid forever and will not be broken, and His eternal plan for the universe will not fail.

Lesson 7: I found it interesting that the purpose of prophecies were not just to tell people in advance what was going to happen in the future, but to activate people to seek the mercy of God to avoid judgement and find the blessings of God.

Lesson 8: This lesson addresses God’s sovereigns. God has a plan for all humanity which has been planned step by step and will be fulfilled.
