I am on chapter 9 and chapter 4 has by far been my favorite. Learning possible reason of why it is hard for some to get into the Bible and why some fall away was fascinating to me.

I have found that when we use these tools it helps us retain the knowledge that we are seeking rather than googling our questions. Putting in academic effort helps so much.

I had the same problem writing and highlighting in my bible until I got another Bible with margins in it specifically for bible studies and then I kept my other bible clean and neat, but I rarely ever use it now. Matter fact I think I have the opposite problem of writing/highlighting too much lol.

YES! One thing I have been really interested in is the history of the bible and it almost changes the way you study and view the scripture. Your example of acts is something I can relate to. I always thought of it as a letter of some sort until I found that it’s telling history rather than a letter directly to someone.

I agree. I just finished reading Chapter one and I got a little into chapter two and you are completely right on how reading these themes and having a blueprint of what everything is, is such an amazing tool.
