What a great statement about seeing Scripture as an unfolding journey and not as just reading material to “get through”.

We have all heard someone say, “I’ve read that passage a thousand times, and got something different this time”.

When we take the time to let the Word “soak in”, it permeates us in ways we have not experienced in the past.

All Biblical leaders want to be successful in their duties to God. Worldly success most often looks like education, position, talent, power or money. We can define what success looks like for the Christian leader as, “the maximum use of one’s gifts and abilities within the range of responsibilities given by God”.

In Matthew chapter one we find one of the genealogies of Christ. In the genealogy, verse 5 it says, “Salmon the father of Boaz, who’s mother was Rahab”.

This Rahab is the same Canaanite prostitute mentioned in Joshua 2 as the one who hid the spies before the fall of…

Abraham is a prime Old Testament example of repeated faith and failure. Abraham’s faith was credited to him as righteousness when he believed God’s promises, but he also lied about the relationship with his wife two separate times and also took it upon himself to bring about the heir that God promised instead of waiting for God’s timing.
