Free Ministry Education with Integrity
Jesus Moment Bible Institute and Seminary exists to provide high-quality biblical and ministry education for students who feel called to serve but may not have the financial means to attend a traditional accredited college or seminary.
Why JMBIS Is Not Accredited
Accreditation can be an important pathway for many colleges and seminaries. However, obtaining and maintaining accreditation requires significant financial resources. For JMBIS, those costs would substantially change our ability to offer free courses and degree programs to students around the world.
Because our mission is to provide tuition-free ministry education, we have chosen to invest our resources into student learning, course development, mentoring, technology, and ministry training rather than the costly accreditation process.
JMBIS is not accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Our degrees are designed for ministry preparation, biblical education, discipleship, and service within the Christian community. They may not be accepted for secular employment, state licensure, transfer credit, or admission into other academic institutions.
Who We Are Designed to Serve
If a student has the financial means and opportunity to attend an accredited Bible college, university, or seminary, that may be the best path for their educational goals.
However, many pastors, ministry leaders, missionaries, church volunteers, and believers around the world simply cannot afford traditional higher education. Others face geographic, vocational, family, or ministry limitations that make accredited programs difficult or impossible to complete.
JMBIS exists to help fill that gap by offering high-quality, interactive, biblically grounded ministry education to students who might otherwise have no access to formal ministry training.
Free Does Not Mean Easy
While our programs are offered free of charge, students should not confuse free education with easy education. JMBIS maintains structured course requirements, learning activities, written assignments, ministry reflection, and program completion standards.
Students cannot simply move quickly through our programs in order to receive a degree. Degrees are earned through the successful completion of required coursework and are not awarded merely for enrollment or participation.
Our desire is not simply to issue certificates, diplomas, or degrees. Our desire is to educate, equip, disciple, and prepare men and women to faithfully serve Christ in their churches, communities, workplaces, and ministries.
State of Florida Religious Exemption
Jesus Moment Bible Institute and Seminary operates in compliance with Section 1005.06(1)(f), Florida Statutes, which provides an exemption for qualifying religious institutions that offer educational programs preparing students for religious vocations and ministry-related fields.
Each year, JMBIS submits the required sworn affidavit to the Florida Commission for Independent Education. The Commission has accepted our annual verification as meeting the requirements of state law for the religious institution exemption.
This means JMBIS is not subject to governmental oversight by the Commission for Independent Education during the verified period. It does not mean JMBIS is accredited by the State of Florida or by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting agency.
