Bachelor of Arts in Ministry
An advanced ministry degree designed to deepen biblical and theological understanding, strengthen leadership, cultivate spiritual maturity, and prepare students for a life of faithful service and Kingdom impact.
Grow Deeper. Lead Faithfully. Serve with Wisdom.
The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Online Bible Institute builds upon the foundation established through the Associate of Arts in Ministry and provides students with a deeper engagement in Scripture, theology, leadership, discipleship, and practical ministry.
Students continue developing their understanding of biblical theology, Christian doctrine, church leadership, pastoral ministry, and the historical and cultural settings that shape the study of Scripture. This deeper academic work is intended to prepare students to think carefully, teach faithfully, and lead with greater wisdom.
Ministry leadership is ultimately about serving people. Throughout the program, students are encouraged to strengthen skills in communication, listening, pastoral care, counseling, leadership, teaching, and community engagement while continuing to grow in humility, compassion, and Christlike character.
The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry is more than an academic achievement. It is an opportunity for continuing spiritual formation and preparation for meaningful service in churches, ministries, missions, nonprofit organizations, chaplaincy, discipleship, and other areas of Christian leadership.

Transition from Biblical Training Institute Materials
We want to inform students about an important update regarding course offerings at Online Bible Institute.
Over the years, we have greatly appreciated our partnership with Biblical Training Institute (BTI). Their teaching materials have been a valuable part of our program, and we continue to hold them in high regard. BTI offers excellent biblical instruction, and we are thankful for the opportunity we have had to share that content with our students.
As of September 2024, BTI launched its own certificate program using a fee-based model. While we support their decision to expand in this way, the change created confusion among some OBI students who believed they needed to purchase BTI materials or pay for BTI certificate programs in order to continue their OBI studies.
To avoid further confusion and preserve the clarity and accessibility of the OBI learning environment, we decided to pause the use of BTI courses in our curriculum. We continue to value our relationship with BTI and may revisit their materials as our programs evolve.
Our plan has been to expand the curriculum with additional courses from AWKNG School of Theology while continuing our commitment to high-quality, biblically grounded teaching that is freely accessible to OBI students.
Thank you for your understanding and for your continued commitment to growing in God’s Word. If you have questions about your degree pathway or required coursework, our team is available to help.
