Kingdom Covenant

About Course

The story of the Bible is the story of a God who refuses to give up on His creation. From the moment of humanity’s rebellion in Eden to the scattering at Babel, the early chapters of Genesis reveal a world unraveling due to sin. Yet in the very next chapter, Genesis 12, God initiates something astonishing: a plan of redemption that will unfold through one man, one family, and eventually one nation. This is the story of the Kingdom Covenant.

In this course, we will journey through Genesis chapters 12–50 and explore how God established a covenant with Abraham and reaffirmed it through Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. This covenant was not merely a private promise but the foundation of God’s plan to bless all nations through one chosen people—and ultimately through Jesus, the Messiah.

Genesis 12 marks the beginning of this Kingdom Covenant. In the aftermath of the Tower of Babel, God calls Abraham out of the nations and into a promise: “I will make you into a great nation… and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Gen. 12:2–3). This promise becomes the heartbeat of the Old Testament and the thread that runs through the entire biblical story.

The patriarchs—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph—lived as sojourners in faith, never fully receiving what was promised in their lifetimes. Yet they held fast to God’s word, looking forward to a city whose architect and builder is God (Heb. 11:10). Their lives demonstrate what it means to walk by faith and to trust God even when the fulfillment seems far off.

This course ‘Kingdom Covenant’ is based on the third series in an eight part series that breaks His Story into eight sections. The eight sections are: Kingdom Revealed, Kingdom Rebellion, Kingdom Covenant, Kingdom Foreshadowed, Kingdom Coming, Kingdom Incarnate, Kingdom Tension, and Kingdom Consummated.
